Agent of Allan Saint-Maximin sends video message to Newcastle fans – More good news

The good news keeps on coming at Newcastle United.

After a 4-1 win over Fulham and news yesterday that Callum Wilson has signed a contract extension on Tyneside, Allan Saint-Maximin’s representatives – KSM Sports Limited – have all but confirmed the winger is fit to return this weekend.

In a video posted on Instagram, they state “the comeback is imminent”, suggesting the explosive Frenchman WILL be ready to face Brentford this Saturday after six weeks on the sidelines.

Eddie Howe admitted that Saint-Maximin was “very close” to making the game at Craven Cottage, so it’ll be great to see the 25-year-old back in action at St James’ Park after missing the last five games with a hamstring injury.

Here’s the clip released by his agency on social media, with his return coming at the perfect time given how we’ve missed his spark and ability to break down stubborn defences in our last two home games:

Eddie Howe had this to say after Saturday’s win when asked if ASM would be ready to return against Brentford:

“Yeah, hopefully.

“It’s always difficult to give a guarantee but he did train with the team yesterday (Friday) and trained well but for me, it was too early to involve him.

“We need to make sure when he comes back he’s fit enough to do himself and the team justice.

“Hopefully, with a good training week under his belt, he could be.”
