A video clip has emerged of Bruno Guimaraes suffering a brief injury scare during training in Italy with the Brazil national team on his 25th birthday yesterday.
Our number 39 went in for a challenge with teammate and Premier League rival Fabinho, but was clearly caught by the Liverpool midfielder as he eventually fell to the floor holding his foot.
After treatment, Bruno did eventually return to the training session, seemingly without injury – a huge relief to both Brazil and Newcastle fans given we are just one week away from their Group G opener against Serbia.

In our opening 15 games of the Premier League this season, the midfielder as been absolutely key and a huge presence in the centre of the team to help push us into the Champions League spots.
Hopefully he feels no after-effects from that heavy knock in training and is ready to go when Brazil’s World Cup campaign kicks off this time next week!
