‘Leaked’ XI from Qatar – NUFC star loses place to ex-Toon target ahead of World Cup opener?

According to Marca, Bruno Guimaraes will not be in the starting XI for Brazil’s World Cup opener against Serbia tomorrow.

After obtaining images from the Brazilian training camp – where players in Tite’s expected line up wore orange bibs – the outlet claims that Lucas Paqueta and Casemiro have beaten Bruno to a start.

Looking at Paqueta’s form at club level, it’s baffling that he could beat his good friend to a place in Brazil’s midfield. While Paqueta has struggled to adapt and shown a real lack of form since completing a big money move from Lyon to West Ham, Guimaraes has already cemented himself as one of THE best midfielders in the Premier League.

However, it’s thought Paqueta will start alongside Manchester United’s Casemiro, with Neymar, Vinicius Junior, Raphinha and Richarlison all expected to feature in attack.

Leaked XI according to Marca: Alisson, Danilo, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Alex Sandro, Casemiro, Paquetá, Vinicius, Neymar, Raphinha, Richarlison.

Elsewhere, Callum Wilson’s hopes of starting against the USA on Friday are on ice, with scans on Harry Kane’s ankle suggesting the England skipper hasn’t suffered anything serious.

Fabian Schar is another Mag in Qatar who’ll be hoping to start over the next 48 hours, as his Swiss side take on Cameroon tomorrow morning.
