TalkSPORT pundit hits nail on head after Simon Jordan comments on Toon transfer rumour

TalkSport pundit Danny Murphy has explained why there is ‘no chance’ Cristiano Ronaldo will end up at Newcastle after Simon Jordan suggested there was a possibility of a move.

The Portuguese legend has recently had his contract terminated at Man United and two clubs who have been heavily linked to sign the 37-year-old are Newcastle United and Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr.

When Jordan brought the suggestion of Ronaldo to Newcastle up on the show, Murphy was quick to point out that the forward does not suit Eddie Howe’s high-pressing style of play, also believing he’d unsettle the ‘team spirit’ and ‘unity’ he’s built.

The 45-year-old added that any move would stunt the growth of Alexander Isak; our club record signing who will already be competing with Callum Wilson when the World Cup break comes to an end.

While Ronaldo is a legend of the game and one of the best goalscorers of all time, it is obvious that this move would make no sense for Newcastle and Howe, going against everything we’ve stood for since our new owners arrived last year.
