Another Toon game selected for TV – 5 of next 7 matches to be shown on Sky, Amazon or BBC

Newcastle United’s FA Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday has been selected for TV coverage, with BBC One set to screen our Third Round tie at Hillsborough on Saturday 7th January (6pm kick-off).

This means that FIVE of our next seven competitive games will now be shown on television, with Premier League games against Leicester (26th December), Arsenal (3rd January), Fulham (15th January) and Crystal Palace (21st January) selected by Sky Sports and Amazon Prime.

Between now and late January, the only games that won’t be available to watch on TV are our Carabao Cup clash with Bournemouth (21st December) and our New Year’s Eve meeting with Leeds at St James’ Park.

Back to the FA Cup, other Third Round ties selected by ITV/BBC include Man Utd vs Everton, Liverpool vs Wolves, Cardiff vs Leeds, Man City vs Chelsea and Oxford vs Arsenal, with these set to be shown from Friday 6th January to Monday 9th January.

  • Bournemouth (H) – 21st December, 7.45pm (Carabao Cup) – Not televised
  • Leicester (A) – 26th December, 3pm – Amazon Prime
  • Leeds (H) – 31st December, 3pm – Not televised
  • Arsenal (A) – 3rd January, 8pm – Sky Sports
  • Sheffield Wednesday (A) – 7th January, 6pm (FA Cup) – BBC One
  • Fulham (H) – 15th January, 2pm – Sky Sports
  • Crystal Palace (A) – 21st January, 5.30pm – Sky Sports
