Good news – NINE of Newcastle’s next 11 games selected for TV as Sky Sports snap up four more

With the recent announcement that all four of our February fixtures have been rearranged for TV coverage, it means NINE of our next 11 competitive games will now be broadcasted.

Our February games against West Ham (Home, 17:30), Bournemouth (Away, 17:30), Liverpool (Home ,17:30) and Brighton (Home, 12:30) have now all been moved from 3pm kick-offs, although the dates remain the same.

With our strong form in the first half of the season lifting us up to third in the league, it’s no surprise that we’re attracting a lot more media attention – and a lot of criticism has come with it too!

Our FA Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday on January 7 has also been snapped up by BBC One, with eight of our next nine Premier League games set to be shown on Sky Sports (7), BT Sport (1) or Amazon Prime (1).

Here’s a full list of our schedule over the coming months:

  • Bournemouth (H) – 21st December, 7.45pm (Carabao Cup) – Not televised
  • Leicester (A) – 26th December, 3pm – Amazon Prime
  • Leeds (H) – 31st December, 3pm – Not televised
  • Arsenal (A) – 3rd January, 8pm – Sky Sports
  • Sheffield Wednesday (A) – 7th January, 6pm (FA Cup) – BBC One
  • Fulham (H) – 15th January, 2pm – Sky Sports
  • Crystal Palace (A) – 21st January, 5.30pm – Sky Sports
  • West Ham (H) – 4th February, 5.30pm – Sky Sports
  • Bournemouth (A) – 11th February, 5.30pm – Sky Sports
  • Liverpool (H) – 18th February, 5.30pm – Sky Sports
  • Brighton (H) – 25th February, 12.30pm – BT Sport

Although some of the kick-off times dubious – a late game in Bournemouth is a nightmare for supporters – the changes for TV broadcast means fans will barely miss a kick between now and March, with each of our next five away games set to be televised.

Hopefully we can get all of our players back to full fitness, pick up where we left off following the break for the World Cup and possibly even make some January moves to try and solidify a European spot.
