Keith Downie: Newcastle receive three loan bids & Nottingham Forest eyeing another Mag

Keith Downie has revealed that Newcastle have received three loan bids from Hull, Huddersfield and Swansea for goalkeeper Karl Darlow, with Nottingham Forest also keen on a permanent deal.

This comes after Hull chairman Tan Kesler had claimed that the paperwork for Darlow to join the Tigers was done, but the Sky Sports reporter claims other clubs are now rivalling the Tigers’ bid.

With Loris Karius having signed a contract extension to play as a backup keeper alongside Martin Dubravka, Darlow has been allowed to leave on a six-month loan deal.

The 32-year-old has made just one appearance in the league cup this season and will be desperate to find somewhere to play first-team football once again.

Hull certainly look like the ‘most likely destination’, but it’s intriguing to hear his former club Nottingham Forest are also keen just a week after Chris Wood’s loan move to the City Ground.

One to watch in the final few days of the window, it seems.
