Based on the latest odds release by the bookies, Newcastle United are still backed to beat Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea to a place in the top four this season.
Chelsea (drew 0-0 with Fulham) and Liverpool (lost 3-0 at Wolves) are both considered big outsiders for the Champions League spots after a bad run of form, but Spurs – currently fifth – moved just one point behind us after a 1-0 win over Man City on Sunday.
The Magpies are currently placed at 8/11 to finish in the top four, with Spurs behind us on 6/4. After another weekend without a win, Liverpool at 5/1 and Chelsea at 11/1 are starting to lose ground.
Man United, who are at 1/5, are being tipped to maintain their spot in third position until the end of the season after a great run of form across all competitions.

Newcastle’s next two games against Bournemouth and Liverpool are now hugely important to our Champions League hopes, particularly as we will be missing Bruno for both and facing a trip to Man City in our first league game after the Carabao Cup final.
But regardless of where we are now, even to finish sixth would be an immense achievement for Eddie Howe and gives us a great platform to build on in the summer.
