EXCLUSIVE: Newcastle hoping to beat Brighton, West Ham and Celtic to highly-rated winger

Newcastle United are hoping to add another teenage sensation to their ranks this summer, with Irish winger Sean Moore the latest U21 star on the club’s radar.

Speaking to an unnamed EFL scout, we’ve been informed that Toon scouts have been watching the 17-year-old closely over the past season, where he’s stepped up to first-team level with Irish Premiership side Cliftonville.

Moore has bagged four goals an two assists this term, helping the club move top of the table after starting each of their last eight league games.

We’ve been told Newcastle are ‘very interested’ in the youngster – who is also attracting interest from Brighton, West Ham and Celtic – and are preparing to launch a bid this summer after Cliftonville resisted a host of January offers.

After previously representing Northern Ireland’s U18 side, Moore accepted his first call-up to Republic of Ireland U19s just yesterday and will now train in Dublin ahead of next month’s EURO qualifiers.

Here’s a clip of him scoring in Cliftonville’s top of the table clash with Larne a few weeks ago:
