According to reports in Turkey, Newcastle United have been tracking Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu and Galatasaray star Sacha Boey.
Starting with Kadioglu, Turkish paper Takvim report that we sent club officials to watch the versatile full-back in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Kayserispor, stating he could be available for around £20m.
It’s believed Toon scouts have come back with ‘very positive reports’ on the 23-year-old, watching him score a stunning long-range goal (watch below) to seal all three points for the Super Lig giants.
The Dutch-born Turkey international is predominantly a right-back but can play down either flank or in midfield.
Elsewhere, Turkish-Football report that we’ve also been watching Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey, stating we are one of several European sides tracking the former France U20 international.
It’s thought Newcastle have contacted the Istanbul side over a potential summer move, being told it would take around £17m to bring him to St James’ Park.
So, two new names to add to the ever-growing list. With Harrison Ashby one for the future, Kieran Trippier turning 33 this year and Javier Manquillo and Emil Krafth facing uncertain futures, perhaps we really are in the market for another young right-back?
