Toon scouts spotted watching Senegalese star alongside Everton and West Ham – Report

Newcastle United scouts have been tracking Sheffield United star Iliman Ndiaye alongside talent spotters at Everton and West Ham, according to The Sun.

The 23-year-old has had an impressive season so far in the Championship, scoring 12 and assisting eight in 40 first-team appearances.

Ndiaye’s versatility makes him a desirable prospect to a number of teams, as he’s able to operate up top, as a No 10 or out wide. This could appeal to Newcastle, as squad depth and increased options in attack will be vital if we qualify for a European competition next season.

Scouts from Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are all said to have watched the forward in recent weeks with the Toffees currently the most interested.

The Senegalese international will enter the final year of his contract in the summer and should the Blades fail to achieve promotion, could be made available for a bargain price.
