Newcastle have asked to be ‘kept informed’ on Renato Sanches’ situation as PSG prepare to sell the midfielder in the next window, according to 90min.
The 25-year-old only signed for the French giants last summer for €13m but is looking for his next move after making just three Ligue 1 starts since arriving in Paris.
Sanches has had to deal with a number of injuries in his short spell in the French capital and has struggled to fit into a ever-changing midfield, yet it wasn’t long ago he was a key player in the Portuguese national side and one of the most exciting young midfielders in Europe.
The report states that several Premier League clubs have contacted PSG about his availability, with AC Milan also thought to be keeping tabs on the former Bayern Munich talent.
He played a key role in the Lille side that won the Ligue 1 title back in 2021, starring alongside Newcastle United centre-back Sven Botman.
It wouldn’t surprise me if this is agent-driven or Newcastle’s name being used to drive interest in the player, even if he would be an intriguing option in our search for a couple of new midfielders this summer.
