Sky Sports capture Alexander Isak’s reaction as NUFC star is nominated for two awards – Video

Earlier today, Newcastle United star Alexander Isak was nominated for two awards; Premier League Player of the Month and Premier League Goal of the Month for March.

The 23-year-old is currently away with his country, preparing for Sweden’s EURO qualifier against Belgium tomorrow night, but the Sky Sports cameras were on hand to capture his reaction to being shortlisted.

For the POTM award, Isak is up against Bukayo Saka, Mohamed Salah, Leandro Trossard, Alexis Mac Allister and Tyrone Mings, while his GOTM nomination is for that superb volley at Nottingham Forest; a goal that showed superb technique and control from the big man.

Speaking to Sky Sports during a press conference in Sweden, said he “wanted to make a mark” at Newcastle, realising how much it means to the people of Newcastle as we push towards a possible top four finish.
