New name linked with Newcastle move as Toon eye England talent impressing in Italy

Another day, another new name linked with a possible summer move to St James’ Park. This time, it’s England youth international Samuel Iling-Junior.

According to 90min, Newcastle are considering a summer bid for the winger; who is currently impressing at Juventus after leaving boyhood club Chelsea back in 2020.

After nine years in Chelsea’s Acaemy and a couple of seasons developing in Juve’s Next Gen set-up, the 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season with the Serie A giants.

He’s made 11 first-team appearances this term, bagging an assist on his Champions League debut; a 4-3 defeat to Benfica in the group stages. The explosive winger has also been making an impact on the international stage, scoring both goals in England U20s 2-0 win over Germany on Wednesday.

90min report that Newcastle, Man City and former club Chelsea are all showing interest in the London-born attacker, believing Juventus financial plight could force them into a summer sale.
