Newcastle join race to sign England talent entering final 12 months of contract – Report

Newcastle United have joined a long list of clubs showing interest in Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison, according to new reports.

This comes from 90min, who claim that Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are all keen on the 19-year-old talent.

Jebbison is entering the final 12 month of his current deal and is highly-rated within the England youth rans, recently representing the Young Lions at the Under-20 World Cup, where he featured in games against Uruguay, Iraq and Tunisia.

If we’re looking to bring in a young forward to learn from Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson then our interest in the 6ft 2′ striker could make sense, especially if he’s likely to leave the Blades for a cut-price fee this summer.

The teenager was born in Canada but emigrated with his family at the age of 13. He initially impressed in Sheffield United’s U18 side and scored nine times during a loan spell with Burton Albion, also becoming the youngest player to score on his full Premier League debut after netting against Everton aged just 17 and 309 days old.
