Newcastle sign young striker as Toon beat Arsenal and Spurs to a deal – Report

According to a new report, Newcastle have secured the signing of 16-year-old Kacey Wooster from Southend, beating Arsenal and Tottenham to a deal for the striker.

This comes from academy insider the Secret Scout and follows the recent signings of Michael Mills and Sam Alabi, who were also new additions to our youth teams.

It’s another sign that we are placing a heavy focus on youth development by attracting some of the best young stars from across the country.

This has been a big priority for Dan Ashworth and will hopefully prove to be hugely successful in years to come as some of these exciting talents transition into the first team.

It’s great to see the club finally being proactive when it comes to attracting players to the academy, rather than losing every promising youngster to other clubs.
