New signing pictured at St James’ Park as TWO youth talents arrive on Tyneside

Newcastle have followed up the signing of Oldham’s Sam Alabi by adding another youngster to our academy in Southend striker Kacey Wooster.

Just like Alabi, the 16-year-old has been pictured taking a photo with the shirt inside the tunnel at St James’ Park after completing his transfer from the National League side.

Wooster joins what is a hugely exciting  project with a great focus on developing emerging talent thanks to sporting director Dan Ashworth.

Here’s a photo of the teenage forward after signing for the club:

With young stars like Lewis Miley and Elliot Anderson recently shining in the US Summer Series, it sends a great message for those in the academy hoping to one day break into the first team.

This is hopefully just the beginning for the development of our young teams as we look to build one of the most prestigious and exciting academies in the world.
