Newcastle agree loan move – Medical booked as Toon sanction 10th summer exit – Report

According to Football Insider, Newcastle United have agree a deal with Luton to allow Isaac Hayden to leave on loan.

They report that the midfielder is currently undergoing a medical at the club after agreeing to the terms of a deal, which will see him spend the remainder of the 2023/24 season at Kenilworth Road.

Hayden has been training away from the first-team over pre-season and spent last season with Norwich, where his temporary spell at Carrow Road was marred by injuries.

Providing the move goes through, the 28-year-old will become our tenth departure of the summer. Allan Saint-Maximin (Al Ahli), Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest) and Karl Darlow (Leeds) have all completed permanent exits, while we’ve already seen loans for Ryan Fraser (Southampton), Jamal Lewis (Watford), Yankuba Minteh (Feyenoord), Garang Kuol (Volendam), Harrison Ashby (Swansea) and Kell Watts (Wigan).

It remains to be seen how much of his wages Luton will cover, but he’ll join former Mag Tim Krul and Ross Barkley at the Hatters, who are bidding to beat the drop following promotion from the Championship.
