Shock team news: Livramento, Willock & Hall all start vs Dortmund – Two benched

The team news is in ahead of tonight’s huge Champions League group game in Germany, where Newcastle take on Borussia Dortmund.

Here’s the side Eddie Howe has gone with for the 5.45pm kick-off:

STARTING XI: Pope – Trippier, Lascelles, Schar, Hall – Bruno, Longstaff, Joelinton – Livramento, Wilson, Willock.

SUBS: Dubravka, Karius, Dummett, L. Miley, De Bolle, Almiron, Gordon, Parkinson.

Eddie Howe has THREE changes from the side that beat Arsenal 1-0 on Saturday, seeing Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall and Joe Willock replace Dan Burn, Anthony Gordon and Miguel Almiron.

Callum Wilson makes his first Champions League start of the season, with Anthony Gordon and Miguel Almiron on the bench – presumably due to fatigue – alongside youngsters De Bolle, Miley and Parkinson.

As expected, Alexander Isak (groin), Jacob Murphy (dislocated shoulder), Elliot Anderson (back), Sven Botman (knee), Sandro Tonali (suspension)), Harvey Barnes (foot), Matt Targett (hamstring) and Javier Manquillo (groin).

Borussia Dortmund XI: Kobel – Süle, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Ryerson – Özcan, Sabitzer, Nmecha – Brandt, Adeyemi, Füllkrug
