Manquillo filmed arriving for medical as Newcastle close in on first January sale - Watch here

Javier Manquillo has arrived in Spain ahead of his reunion with Rafa Benitez.

In a video captured by @TGHTPodcast last night, the 29-year-old is seen arriving at Celta Vigo's Headquarters to undergo a medical with the club.  

This comes after The Athletic broke news of his imminent move to the La Liga side on Thursday afternoon, bringing an end to his six-and-a-half-year stint at St James' Park.

The terms of his move are not yet clear, but it's likely to be a permanent deal given his Newcastle contract is due to expire at the end of the current season. Watch the clip below of him arriving in Vigo last night:

Manquillo rarely let us down during some difficult times. His performance in our 1-0 win at Leeds two years ago was massive, kick-starting our incredible end to the 2021/22 season.
