Sky Germany release Kieran Trippier update - Newcastle set price after Bayern Munich talks
According to Sky Germany, Newcastle United are demanding a fee in the region of £11m-£12m (€13-14m) for Bayern Munich target Kieran Trippier.
They add that this price is for a permanent deal this month or a loan-to-buy deals that includes an obligatory purchase at the end of the 2023/24 season.
However, it's believed Bayern are reluctant to spend too much on Trippier, despite Thomas Tuchel's need for a new right-back, with the England international turning 34 later this year.
Sky Sports News report that Bayern's initial loan approach was rejected by Newcastle, but talks are ongoing over a potential deal, with Trippier 'open' to the move if an agreement can be reached.
Bayern bosses are said to be conflicted on a move for Trippier, with the Bundesliga giants also considering a loan move for PSG defender Nordi Mukiele before a breakdown in talks with the Ligue 1 side.
Like the Callum Wilson saga, it seems Newcastle are reluctant to sell, but willing to talk incase the right offer comes in that helps ease our fight against FFP/PSR restrictions.
