Burn, Willock and Botman all start – Confirmed Newcastle team vs Wolves

The team sheets are in at St James’ Park, where Newcastle United take on Wolves in today’s 3pm kick-off. Here’s the side Eddie Howe has gone with:

STARTING XI: Dubravka – Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn – Longstaff, Bruno, Willock – Murphy, Isak, Gordon.

SUBS: Karius, Lascelles, Barnes, Krafth, Hall, Livramento, Almiron, Anderson, Miley.

There’s just one change from our midweek win at Blackburn, as Sven Botman replaces Jamaal Lascelles at centre-back.

Joe Willock starts his first Premier League game since November, keeping Lewis Miley on the bench alongside the likes of Harvey Barnes, Elliot Anderson and Tino Livramento; who is kept out at left-back by Dan Burn once again. Jacob Murphy also keeps his place in the side ahead of Miguel Almiron; a surprise given Miggy’s impressive cameo in midweek.

For Wolves, top scorers Hwang Hee Chan and Matheus Cunha both miss out along with Joao Gomes, but we could see Pedro Neto running at Burn if the Portuguese winger starts on their right.

Wolves XI: Sa, Semedo, Kilman, Dawson, Toti, Ait-Nouri, Doyle, M.Lemina, Sarabia, Bellegarde, Neto.

HOWAY THE LADS!

  1. How do Longstaff and Murphy keep their places?
Burn for some reason was never in doubt!
It will be tough going imo.
