Player hires agency to secure move away from Newcastle United – Report

According to reports in Italy, Newcastle United goalkeeper Loris Karius is looking increasingly likely to leave Tyneside after his agents were given a mandate to arrange his departure.

The German shot-stopper is out of contract in the summer and has only made two appearances for the Magpies since joining in 2022, the 2023 Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester United and a 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in February 2024.

TuttoMercatoWeb report that the 30-year-old could leave for Serie A, with his agent exploring his options to allow him to be closer to his fiancée and young child.

Karius’ partner Diletta Leotta gave birth to their daughter in August 2023 and also works for DAZN Italy. In December, Leotta told Gazetta Dello Sport that she was hopeful the German would make the switch.

Circum – an agency led by former Juventus star Claudio Marchisio and Alessandro Tocci – have been tasked with potentially bringing Karius to Serie A.

As it stands, nothing has been agreed between any club and Karius will become a free agent upon the expiry of his contract on June 30.
