TEAM NEWS: Howe changes formation, Gordon starts and Tino out vs Man City

The team sheets are in ahead of tonight’s FA Cup quarter-final, where Newcastle United take on Manchester City at the Etihad.

Here’s the side Eddie Howe has gone with for the 5.30pm kick-off live on BBC One:

(3-5-2?): Dubravka – Schar, Lascelles, Botman – Murphy, Longstaff, Bruno, Willock, Burn – Gordon, Isak.

SUBS: Karius, Dummett, Ritchie, Targett, Krafth, Hall, Almiron, Anderson, Miley.

It seems we’ve gone with a system change, with Lascelles coming into what appears to be a back three, along with Murphy and Burn as wing-backs, the same midfield three and Gordon alongside Isak in attack.

Livramento – who misses out entirely ue to an ankle knock – and Almiron drop out after starting in Monday’s 3-2 defeat at Chelsea and Miley is on the bench again, alongside Hall and Anderson.

As expected, Trippier, Barnes, Joelinton, Wilson and Pope miss out once again, but it’s great to see Gordon is fit to start after shaking off a knee problem following his call-up to the England squad.

Man City XI: Ortega Moreno, Walker (C), Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodrigo, Kovacic, Bernardo, Foden, Doku, Haaland.
