Newcastle linked with summer move for Fenerbahce star wanted by Spurs and Aston Villa

Newcastle United are believed to be one of several Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Fenerbahce star Ismail Yuksek.

According to Graeme Bailey at HITC, Toon scouts have been tracking the highly-rated midfielder along with Tottenham, Aston Villa, Wolves and Bournemouth.

Yusek has made 40 appearances for Fenerbahce in all competitions this season in what is his second campaign as a starter in the team.

The 6ft’ tall Turkish international has also drawn interest from clubs in Germany and Italy. However, it’s believed a summer move to England currently looks more likely.

Yuksek joined Fenerbahce in 2020 and had stints at Adana Demirspor and Bursaspor before becoming a regular starter for the Super Lig runners-up.

Although the Magpies currently have plenty of midfield options when everyone is fit, we’ve seen Bruno Guimaraes linked with a summer move away and Joelinton’s future remains uncertain unless he signed a contract extension.
