Newcastle hoping to sign Lorran ahead of Man City and Crystal Palace – Report

Another South American talent has been linked with a move to Newcastle United. This time, it’s the young Flamengo attacker named Lorran.

The Brazilian has represented his country at U16 and U17 level and recently impressed in the U20 Libertadores, bagging one goal and an assist in four appearances.

According to OneFootball, Newcastle, Man City and Crystal Palace are all keen on the 17-year-old; who can operate out wide, as an attacking midfielder or a second striker.

He’s currently out of contract in December 2025 after failing to sign a new deal and could leave over the summer. Transfermarkt value the teenager at 3 million euros, but has a release clause in his current deal at a whopping 50 million euros; a fee interested parties won’t be paying given his uncertain contract situation.

Newcastle are clearly on the lookout for some of the worlds best emerging talent an Lorran appears to fit into that bracket. We’ve been linked with several South American ‘wonderkids’ since new owners arrived, with Steve Nickson doing a lot of scouting in Brazil.

After Chelsea beat us to Andrey Santos (Brazil) and Man City to Maximo Perrone (Argentina), let’s hope we can beat City and Palace to Lorran if the club really are keen on the Flamengo talent.
