Newcastle ‘ready to offer’ contract to striker who destroyed Toon in UEFA Youth League

According to reports in Italy, Newcastle United are keen to bring AC Milan sensation Francesco Camarda to St James’ Park.

This comes from Calciomercato, who state that Newcastle are “ready to offer” the 16-year-old striker a move to the Premier League when he becomes eligible to make the switch at the age of 18.

Camarda bagged two goals and an assist when AC Milan’s youngsters battered Newcastle 4-0 in the UEFA Youth League back in September.

His form at youth level saw him briefly break into the AC Milan first team, where he became the youngest debutant in Serie A history last November, coming off the bench in a 1-0 win over Fiorentina at the age of 15.

Calciomercato report that ourselves and Arsenal are keen on the Italian teenager, stating that our interest is ‘real and concrete’ and includes an offer to have him in and around the first team  ‘within two years.’

Time will tell if there’s any truth in this one, but it would make sense if we’re keen to recruit some of the world’s best young talent. Based on his performance against Newcastle and first team breakthrough at the age of 15, he looks a huge prospect.
