Howe’s pre-match vow ahead of crucial West Ham clash – A huge moment in our season

Eddie Howe has vowed to “attack” today’s massive clash with West Ham, believing this is a big chance to build some much-needed momentum heading into our final 10 games of the season.

The boss is hoping to build on our last home game – a 3-0 win over Wolves four weeks ago – and find some “consistency” as we head into the business end of the 2023/24 campaign.

We have a winnable run of fixtures to come, but Howe realises the importance of “closing that gap” to West Ham; who are currently in seventh and four points clear of Newcastle ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off.

“With these ten games it is an opportunity for us to finish the season strong,” Howe said. “We are looking for consistency in results. We are focused on building and finding some positive momentum.”

“We want to be closing that gap, [West Ham] have done well, they are a dangerous team,” the boss said. “We are back at home, we left on a good note in our last game against Wolves and we are desperate to carry that on again. This is a home game, expectation will be on us, we will attack the game in the way we know we can.”
