Howe reveals triple injury blow and Lewis Hall update after 1-1 draw with Everton

Eddie Howe has issued an update on the injury front following Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Everton, where Kieran Trippier, Tino Livramento and Miguel Almiron all missed out.

The boss has revealed that Almiron (knee) and Livramento (ankle) looked set to be sidelined for “around a month”, while Trippier (calf) has been ruled out of Saturday’s trip to Fulham and is “not ready to play yet.”

In better news, Howe confirmed that Lewis Hall was withdrawn due to “fatigue”, playing down any fears that the left-back picked up an injury.

Speaking after the match, he said: “When you’ve got the glut of games that we have, it’s going to hurt us short-term. Miggy (Almiron) will be out around a month, we think, with a knee injury, Tino the same with an ankle injury.

“Kieran’s not ready to play yet, so he won’t be back for the Fulham game (on Saturday) definitely.”

However, the injury list is looking long and the lack of options on our bench was telling against Everton, with Trippier, Botman, Lascelles, Joelinton, Tonali, Wilson, Gordon, Targett, Livramento, Pope, Almiron and Miley all missing out through injury or suspension.

  1. Glut of games?!?!!! We’ve just had a 2 week international break!!.

Is he suggesting the glut is playing Saturday then again tonight and another game at the weekend??.

3 games in a week is CL/Europa scheduling & HE needs to manage his players training better.

  2. Can’t we just stay consistent, goodness me is that to much to ask,
Why we didn’t bring Willock and Anderson from the beginning, why does he insist on sticking with Longstaff, I really can’t see what kind of hold this boy has on Eddie,
He is one clueless manager he stayed with Burn, today LH proved he is more than capable of defending at left back, if we had our strongest team out then can rest players once we have full control of the game. Seriously leave Longstaff out.
