In arguably the biggest game of his young career, Yankuba Minteh delivered his best display yet as the Newcastle loanee bagged two goals and an assist in Feyenoord’s 6-0 thrashing of Ajax on Sunday.
The Gambian played a key role in Feyenoord’s opener on 33 minutes, turning quickly before playing Igor Paixao in behind to finish. He then made it 2-0 just two minutes later, arriving into the box and slotting home with his right foot.
His second then arrived on 55 minutes, where he cut in from the right and fired a stunning left-footed effort into the far top corner. This takes him to six goals in his last seven Eredivisie appearances and up to 10 goals and four assists for the season in all competitions.
