Newcastle eyeing Nottingham Forest duo, Leicester star and Arsenal attacker – Report

According to The Mirror, Eddie Howe has his eye on more domestic talent heading into the summer transfer window.

John Richardson reports that Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White has been identified as a key target. The 24-year-old has had a superb season at the City Ground and is the heartbeat of their side. He’s their vice-captain, has operated in midfield and down both flanks and has contributed six goals and seven assists.

The same report claims we are also tracking 23-year-old Forest teammate Neco Williams, with Howe appreciating his ability to play both full-back positions and in midfield.

Elsewhere, Leicester City star Kieran Dewsbury-Hall is also mentioned as a player on our radar following his 12 goals and 14 assists this season, while Arsenal’s Emil Smith-Rowe is another player we’re thought to be monitoring.

Based on his quality, age, versatility and potential, Gibbs-White feels like the exact sort of signing we’d be looking at, especially when he shut down Bruno Guimaraes in Forest’s 3-1 win at St James’ Park on Boxing Day.
