Watch Yankuba Minteh red card and emotional scenes as 10-man Feyenoord win cup final

It was a dramatic Sunday for Yankuba Minteh as the winger was sent off during Feyenoord’s 1-0 victory against NEC Nijmegen in the Dutch League Cup final, winning his first bit of silverware.

The 19-year-old was booked twice in two minutes and left the field in tears with 20 minutes to play. However, he was emotional for all the right reasons after his side held on to their lead and lifted the trophy at full-time.

Watch match highlights and the red card incident 1:20 into the clip below, followed by his tears before the trophy lift and dance moves in the dressing room:

The Gambian winger has been impressing out on loan in the Eredivisie where he has now become an integral part of Arne Slot’s team, bagging 10 goals and four assists in all competitions.

There have been calls from Newcastle fans for him to have a key role in the squad next season, with Eddie Howe expected to hand him a chance to impress over pre-season before we make a decision on his future.

The Telegraph recently suggested that he could be sold for a quick profit if a big offer arrived this summer, but a second loan spell seems more likely at this stage.
