£60m duo to return? – Predicted Newcastle team to face Sheffield United

Premier League football is back at St James’ Park, where Eddie Howe’s Mags take on Chris Wilder’s Blades. Here’s the side we think could start and why:

Predicted XI: Dubravka – Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall – Longstaff, Bruno, Anderson – Gordon, Isak, Barnes.

This line up is based on Livramento passing a fitness test, but I’m hopeful he’ll be OK after his rest in midweek and return to training on Friday. If he’s not deemed ready to start, I’d fully expect Krafth at right-back and Hall at left-back to add some balance to the side.

The midfield picks itself with Willock and Miley out for the season and Joelinton not ready to return just yet. In attack, a front three of Gordon, Isak and Barnes surely picks itself. Almiron remains out and Murphy is likely to be dropped after a poor showing at Palace.

I wouldn’t be completely shocked if Wilson returned to the side, but it’s hard to know where he’d fit and I can’t see Howe tinkering with his formation too much.
