The team sheets are in at St James’ Park, where Newcastle United take on Sheffield United in our penultimate home game of the 2023/24 season. Here’s the side Eddie Howe has gone with:
NUFC XI: Dubravka – Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall – Longstaff, Bruno, Anderson – Murphy, Isak, Gordon.
SUBS: Karius, Dummett, Wilson, Ritchie, Barnes, Krafth, White, A Murphy, Parkinson
Tino Livramento returns to the side at right-back after overcoming an ankle injury and we’ve returned to a 4-3-3 formation. Harvey Barnes drops out of the side along with Emil Krafth, but Lewis Hall returns a left-back in a four-man defence.
Jacob Murphy starts on the right wing and Callum Wilson is named on the bench once again. Miguel Almiron, Joelinton, Kieran Trippier and Nick Pope miss out once again.
For Sheffield United, Oli McBurnie misses out after being ruled out for the final five games. If the Blades lose they will be officially relegated to the Championship.
Let’s hope the lads can get back to winning ways after Wednesday’s display at Crystal Palace. Howay the lads!
