Man Utd suffer new injury blow – £80m man now out of Newcastle clash with 10 missing

The bank holiday weekend has gone from bad to worse for Man Utd, who’ve not only dropped to 8th but lost yet another defender to injury in Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils are already in the midst of an injury crisis at the back, with Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Willy Kambwala, Jonny Evans. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia out. Bruno Fernandes is also a doubt for their Monday night clash at Crystal Palace, with Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial out.

Maguire had been one of their more reliable performers this season, but is now expected to be missing for the next three weeks, ruling him out of their remaining four games against Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Newcastle and Brighton.

We currently sit two points above the Red Devils with far superior goal difference and will go into next weekend ahead of Erik ten Hag’s side if they fail to win at Selhurst Park.
