Toon target ‘rejects’ Tottenham move as Newcastle make ‘very good’ offer – Reports

Newcastle summer transfer target Tosin Adarabioyo has rejected a contract offer from Tottenham amid a battle for the free agent’s signature.

Fulham defender Adarabioyo is out of contract at the end of the season and is attract plenty of Premier League interest, but it sounds like he won’t be heading to North London anytime soon.

Spurs reporter Paul O’Keefe took to X to reveal that the highly-rated centre half has rejected an initial approach from Spurs, who currently sit fifth in the league, four points above the Toon. “Whether Tottenham return remains to be seen,” O’Keefe added.

Meanwhile, TEAM Talk correspondent Fraser Gillan reports that Eddie Howe’s Mags have made an attractive offer to the defender’s camp which is seen as “very good”, suggesting we are prepared to pay him good money.

Adarabioyo has played 20 times for Fulham this season, netting twice while averaging an impressive 3.1 aerial duel victories per 90 minutes. He would also add some much needed pace and mobility at centre-back, where we’re light on options now Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles will miss a decent chunk of the 2024/25 season after ACL surgery.
