Yankuba Minteh set for summer move after pre-season with Newcastle – Report

It looks like Newcastle United talent Yankuba Minteh will spend the 2024/25 season back in the Netherlands.

According to Mark Douglas at iNews, sources in Holland have indicated that the winger looks set to spend pre-season with Newcastle before returning to Feyenoord for a second loan spell.

The Dutch giants are heading towards their final two games of the Eredivisie season and look set to finish 2nd, behind Champions PSV.

It’s been a superb year for Minteh, who’s not only bagged 10 goals and six assists, but enjoyed regular game time under Arne Slot – who looks set to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool this summer – played in two cup finals and the UEFA Champions League.

Despite Slot’s proposed move to Anfield, it seems Minteh will spend another season in Rotterdam, which could make sense for all parties to continue his development, hand him regular game time and experience of European football.

Perhaps things could change if he impresses Howe under pre-season, but Feyenoord feels like a good environment for the 19-year-old to develop his game before he takes the leap to Premier League football.
