Isak & Trippier start, two out & Fernandes returns – Confirmed Newcastle & Man Utd teams

The team sheets are in ahead of tonight’s massive game at Man Utd, where Eddie Howe’s Mags take on Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils. Here’s the side we’ve gone with ahead of the 8pm kick-off:

NUFC XI: Dubravka – Trippier, Krafth, Burn, Hall – Longstaff, Bruno, Anderson – Murphy, Isak, Gordon.

SUBS: Pope, Dummett, Schar, Joelinton, Ritchie, Almiron, White, A Murphy.

Kieran Trippier comes in for his first start since March’s 3-0 win over Wolves, replacing the injured Tino Livramento (ankle) at right-back, and Alexander Isak keeps his place in the starting XI after recovering from illness that saw him miss training on Monday.

Nick Pope and Joelinton remain on the bench, with Jacob Murphy keeping his place in attack and Fabian Schar returning to the squad. Callum Wilson hasn’t recovered from illness and misses out, sadly.

For Man Utd, Bruno Fernandes has passed a late fitness test and returns to their side after missing their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, but Lisandro Martinez is only fit enough for the bench.

Man Utd XI: Onana, Dalot, Casemiro, Evans, Wan-Bissaka, McTominay, Amrabat, Mainoo, Amad, Fernandes, Garnacho.

SUBS: Antony, Rashford, Collyer, Martínez, Bayindir, Kambwala, Højlund, Forson, Eriksen
