For the final time this season, the team sheets are in as Newcastle United prepare to face Brentford in today’s 4pm kick-off in West London.
STARTING Xl: Pope – Krafth, Schar, Burn, Hall – Longstaff, Guimaraes, Joelinton – J Murphy, Isak, Barnes
SUBS: Dubravka, Trippier, Dummett, Wilson, Ritchie, Almiron, Anderson, White, A Murphy.
Eddie Howe has made FOUR changes from our midweek defeat at Man Utd, as Nick Pope, Fabian Schar, Joelinton and Harvey Barnes replace Martin Dubravka, Kieran Trippier, Elliot Anderson and Anthony Gordon; who misses out entirely with an ankle issue.
As expected, Tino Livramento misses out with an ankle injury, with Botman, Lascelles, Miley, Willock and Targett out once again. For the hosts, Ivan Toney starts up top along with Byran Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa.
Brentford XI: Flekken – Roerslev, Zanka, Pinnock, Reguilón – Jensen, Nørgaard(C), Janelt – Mbeumo, Toney, Wissa.
A win could see us end the season in sixth IF Chelsea lose at home to Bournemouth, but we’ll be guaranteed to finish seventh if we better or match Man Utd’s result at Brighton, as we’re level on points with the Red Devils with far superior goal difference.
Howay the lads!
