Miguel Almiron’s agent has been speaking about the winger’s future after links with a summer move away from St James’ Park.
The player’s representative, Daniel Campos, claims “other Premier League clubs” have been in contact about his availability and hints that Saudi interest remains, but he claims he is “comfortable” at Newcastle and not a player the club plan to sell, as things stand.
Speaking to Paraguayan radio station ABC Cardinal, he said: “Other Premier clubs have asked about him, but Newcastle don’t want to sell him. The Arab market is hovering there. There may be news, but he is comfortable.”
I may be wrong, but I’d be surprised if the club didn’t look to move Almiron on this summer. Not only has he lost his first team spot to Jacob Murphy over the final few weeks of the 2023/24 season, he’s got two years left on his contract, turned 30 this year and has probably reached the stage where an exit makes sense for all parties, especially when this could be our final chance to land a half-decent fee.
Saudi side Al Shabab showed serious interest in the South American in January, so it’ll be interesting to see if they or any other SPL sides make a move over the summer.
Miguel Almiron's agent claims Premier League clubs have enquired about him but #nufc 'don't want to sell'. Saudi Arabia interest too.
Hmmm. We'll see… https://t.co/hRIjJHZiMi

Yep, time to move on. Been a good servant, seems like a lovely guy with a good attitude, but perhaps more than a tad one footed and predictable. Dont know if anyone else has noticed or if its just me

Miggy was my favorite player when he was with Atlanta United and he is the reason I became a Newcastle supporter. I selfishly want him to stay but if that doesn’t happen I hope he at least goes to another Premier League team not Saudi.
