Watch Alexander Isak’s goal for Sweden and Ayoze Perez score on Spain debut – Video

Current and former Newcastle United forwards were on the scoresheet for their country last night, as Alexander Isak found the net for Sweden and Ayoze Perez bagged on his first appearance for the Spanish national team.

Fresh from 25 goals over the 2023/24 season and an interview with the Swedish media reaffirming his commitment to Newcastle, Isak produced another clinical finish in a 2-1 defeat to Denmark on Wednesday night.

Sadly for the striker and right-back Emil Krafth, Sweden did not qualify for Euro 2024. They are due to play Serbia – a nation in England’s group – this weekend in their final warm-up game.

As for Perez, the former Mag has followed a strong season atReal Betis with a goal just 24 minutes into his senior debut for Spain, where the 30-year-old wore the No 9 shirt and also bagged an assist in a 5-0 win over Andorra.
