Newcastle quoted €25m for OGC Nice star after enquiry in ‘recent days’ – Report

Newcastle United have enquired about the possibility of signing Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, according to journalist Tomasz Włodarczyk.

He reports that his Polish compatriot has received interest from Newcastle in ‘recent days’, claiming we’ve made contact with the Ligue 1 side over his availability.

Włodarczyk believes Nice would be prepared to sell the 24-year-old for a fee in the region of €25m, but reveals that AC Milan are also tracking the 6ft 6′ stopper as a potential replacement for French No 1 Mike Maignan.

Bulka has been one of the top-performing goalkeepers in Ligue 1 over the past season, keeping an outstanding 17 clean sheets in 34 appearances.

He ticks some boxes as a young goalkeeper who would not cost huge money as we look to bring in high-level competition for Nick Pope. However, we have been strongly linked with Burnley’s James Trafford, Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili and Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale, so it remains to be seen if he is someone we are actively looking to sign.

Here’s a few clips of the former Chelsea and PSG talent in action:
