Player filmed arriving for Newcastle medical and Toon respond to Torres rumours

Footage has emerged of Lloyd Kelly arriving for the first part of his medical at Newcastle United, with the defender spotted in London to undergo fitness checks.

Following a 23-second clip (watch below) shared by Sky Sports' Dharmesh Sheth, colleague Keith Downie confirms that the Bournemouth defender will sign a five-year deal at Newcastle after arriving on a free transfer, with the contract set to include an option of a further year.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United have denied claims that we've launched a bid for Barcelona winger Ferran Torres.

Earlier today, Spanish outlet Jigantes reported that Newcastle had offered €15m plus a further €5m in potential bonuses for the former Man City man. However, The Telegraph's Luke Edwards has reached out to Newcastle sources and been told there is 'no truth' in these big claims from Spain.

Torres ticks some boxes as a versatile 24-year-old winger with Premier League experience, but it seems any suggestions we've made a move for him are wide of the mark.
