Newcastle United have sealed the signing of Aaron Epia; the teenage defender who’s left Everton to become our latest Academy addition.
The 16-year-old centre-back confirmed the move on social media, saying “happy to officially sign for Newcastle United” after completing a switch to Tyneside today.
Epia impressed during a brief trial at the club last season and will join our Under-18 ranks ahead of the 2024/25 season, with his arrival following the signature of CJ Afumuzor; the Portsmouth talent who we revealed the signing of in a NUFCBlog exclusive earlier last month.
It promises to be a busy summer of additions at every level of Newcastle’s Academy after a number of Under-18 and Under-21 departures, so it’s good to see the club adding another young talent in Epia on a busy day of first-team additions.
Confirming his exit from Everton on Instagram, he said: “I want to thank all the staff and players at Everton that have helped support my development over the last seven years. I’ve had a great journey.
“It has been a tough decision to decide but I feel like the time has come for me to find a new challenge. I want to wish the club all the best for the future.”
Sure any young players that became good will be sold we have seen that with Minteh and Anderson. Especially with all the players they need loading off!Howe and his Brother should go back to Bournemouth.Joke of a club.

We just need to build the sporting complex we’ve talked about building that will encompass a better training facility for the academy.
It’s also the place we should splash the cash on players as it doesn’t affect psr.

Unlikely that Howe had anything to do with the sales, Miggy turning down Saudi in January the most likely cause of the shortfall.
So given That Howe returns to Bournemouth, and who would have done better since the take over and who do you want now, Bruce?

When you say “It promises to be a busy summer of additions at every level ” I think we will see a lot more teenagers coming in that experienced first team players. Oh, and lets not forget the girlies! There will be a couple of decent signings coming in there.
