Saudis make Miguel Almiron move after three signings and £68m sales – Sky Sports

Newcastle’s busy start to July looks set to continue, as Sky Sports’ Keith Downie has issued a major update on the future of Miguel Almiron this afternoon.

He’s exclusively revealed that Newcastle United are in talks with an unnamed Saudi Pro League club over a potential deal for the Paraguayan, with this coming after we secured £68m for Yankuba Minteh (£33m move to Brighton) and Elliot Anderson (£35m move to Nottingham Forest) before the PSR deadline.

This also follows THREE signings that have been formally announced today, with goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos arriving from Forest, Lewis Hall completing a £28m permanent move from Chelsea and free agent stopper John Ruddy also joining our goalkeeping department.

Back to Almiron, Downie reports that Newcastle are looking to cash in on Almiron and may have found a buyer in the Middle East now the Saudi window has opened, although it’s not yet clear what the fee could be and which SPL side has opened talks.

  1. If that’s a question to me.. I don’t and never will as watching a 2nd rate overseas league holds no interest to me but I do pay attention ( or try to ) about things that could impact nufc.

Whether we like it or not ( and frankly I don’t) the SPL transfer window could impact nufc
