Allan Saint-Maximin set for surprise move 12 months on from Newcastle exit

According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, former Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin is set to join Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce less than 12 months after moving to Saudi side Al Ahli.

With Newcastle struggling for funds last summer, it was the Frenchman who departed to allow for some new arrivals like Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento, though it was not an easy decision for either party.

Saint-Maximin became a bit of a cult hero on Tyneside for his eccentric style of play which was pretty much the only highlight during the Steve Bruce era and helped to keep the club afloat.

Now, less than a year later, it seems the 27-year-old could already be on the move again as he looks set to team up with Mourinho, who is looking to win Fenerbahce’s first title in over 11 years.

It will be good to see the winger back in Europe and using his abundance of talent in a more competitive league, not to mention competing in the  Champions League which he missed out on with Newcastle last season.

I wonder if he has a sell on Clause?

ASM went to Saudi in one of the dodgiest transfers we’ve seen in years where PIF shuffled cash from one pocket to another .
    A sell on clause?
Don’t be surprised if we had a 200% sell on clause. Perfectly legit!
