It’s been a busy few days for a host of former Mags, with Allan Saint-Maximin, Moussa Sissoko, Craig Bellamy and Scott Parker all on the move.
Starting with Saint-Maximin, talk of the winger leaving Saudi side Al Ahli for Fenerbahce has gathered pace today, with Foot Mercato revealing that the 27-year-old is all set to join the Turkish giants on loan following talks with Jose Mourinho.
This comes just 12 months after Saint-Maximin left Newcastle for the Saudi Pro League – where he’s bagged four goals and 10 assists in 30 appearances – and it’s believed he’ll take a pay cut to push through a move to Istanbul.
Then to Moussa Sissoko, who has sealed a surprise return to English football by signing a two-year deal with Watford. The 34-year-old returns to Vicarage Road on a free transfer and will play in the Championship next season after leaving Ligue 1 side Nantes.
Finally, we’ve also seen two familiar names land jobs in management this week, with former Newcastle United striker Craig Bellamy announced as the new Wales manager and ex-Toon skipper Scott Parker named the new Burnley boss following Vincent Kompany’s move to Bayern Munich.
