Newcastle ‘pushing’ for Championship star and winger with €30m clause linked

Crysencio Summerville is a name that’s refusing to go away this summer, while Viktor Tsygankov has become the latest player linked in Newcastle’s right-winger search.

The Mirror report that Summerville looks set to land a Premier League move this summer, stating that Newcastle, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are all ‘pushing’ for his signature.

The 22-year-old Dutchman bagged 21 goals and 10 assists last season, but saw his Leeds side fall at the final hurdle with a play-off defeat to Southampton back in May. He’s a good player, but I have my doubts when the vast majority of his best football has come down the left for Leeds.

It’s believed he will be allowed to leave the Championship side after they failed to win promotion and is weighing up his options, with Palace joining the race as they look to replace Michael Olise following his £50m move to Bayern.

Then to Tsygankov, Caught Offside report that Newcastle are one of four clubs eyeing the Girona winger who has €30million release clause in his contract, with Arsenal, Aston Villa and AC Milan also keen.

The 26-year-old bagged eight goals and seven assists in 30 appearances last season, helping his side finish third in La Liga behind only Real Marid and Barcelona.

It’s claimed the Ukrainian is keen on a move to the Premier League, but time will tell if he’s a genuine Toon target as we prepare to step up our pursuit of a right-winger in the coming weeks.
