Paul Dummett closing in on move and AC Milan offered former Mag – Reports

It looks like Paul Dummett and Loris Karius could be on the mov soon after being released by Newcastle United earlier this summer.

The Sun’s Alan Nixon reports that Dummett could be set to join Sheffield United as part of the Blades’ post-relegation rebuild, with the South Yorkshire side ready to offer deals to the Geordie defender and former Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong.

Nixon states that the deal for Dummett has been “teed up” as they wait for a takeover to go through, with Chris Wilder’s side waiting for funds to be released before they can complete the signing.

The Welsh international, who managed four goals across his 213 Newcastle appearances, saw his contract expire back in June after being with the club since he was nine years old.

Elsewhere, Italian outlet CalcioMercato report that Loris Karius may be on his way to AC Milan after being offered to the Serie A giants after an injury to current goalkeeper Marco Sportiello.

The German stopper has been without a club for almost two months after his deal on Tyneside was now renewed. A move to Italy would make sense, with his partner working for DAZN Italy and previously encouraging her fiancé to move closer to home.
