Newcastle United’s Carabao Cup tie away to Nottingham Forest will take place on Wednesday, August 28 (kick-off 8pm).
The club has confirmed that Sky Sports has also selected the game for TV broadcast, meaning six of our next nine games in all competitions will be televised.
Not only that, the change from Tuesday 27th to Wednesday 28th is brilliant news for Sandro Tonali, who is now eligible to feature at the City Ground now his 10-month ban is due to end on the day we take on Forest. Had the game taken place on Tuesday 27th and not been televised, the Italian would’ve had to wait for Sunday’s clash with Spurs on September 1st.
